Facebook says I have Lyme disease, which is the first thing I convinced myself I didn't have, but I've been ordered to go to a walk-in clinic anyway.

Well, on the one hand, that would suck.

On the other hand, there are often-effective treatments for Lyme disease even if they do involve buckets of antibiotics.

Well, I waited for three hours for a doctor to whoosh into the room, go "yeah I don't know", hand me a form to get bloodwork done, and whoosh out, so I guess we'll find out? I still think I was bitten by something other than a deer tick, but on the other hand I already have most of the other early symptoms so this could easily sneak in under the radar (and even account for some of the recent exacerbation).

As I understand it, it doesn't absolutely have to be a deer tick, it's just most likely to be a deer tick. And there's probably more than one thing getting labelled Lyme disease and goodness, aren't infectious diseases a fascinating area of study?

But good for honest doctors and quantified testing.
