Dear Ante Up Writer letter
Hello there, fellow Losers fan! Thank you for taking the time to make me a present! I am glad you did. This post should (I hope) clarify some points on my sign-up form and give you a place to ask any questions you may have.
What I want most of all is characters who are kinky, consensually non-monogamous, queer or otherwise sexually non-normative, and who accept this about themselves and are happy about it (at least most of the time/by the end of the story). I have a particular affinity for bi/pansexual/queer poly switches, but I don't mind characters who are monogamously-partnered and at one end of the Kinsey or D/s spectrums, as long as they're radical in some regard. I'm especially fascinated by finding kinky angles into practices and relationships that might look hegemonic and vanilla to an unknowing observer, so it would be especially neat to read something playing with that. All that said, I do not require or prefer either porn or 'ships of any kind: give me gen in which characters just happen to be queer, non-monogamous or kinky; give me non-erotic friendships between such characters, or non-romantic sexual/play relationships--I adore characters loving each other without being ~in love~. This issue outweighs character & 'ship requests for me; I marked Aisha and Pooch as favourites characters (because I love her and I think he deserves so much more appreciation than fandom gives him) and Aisha/Jolene and Cougar/Aisha/Jensen/Pooch as 'ships (because there is not enough F/F in the world and they'd be sizzling together, and because group sex and group relationship dynamics are fun and fascinating), but really, I'll take any character or combination that inspires you (any rating, too).
I know "kinky" isn't very specific, and while I like that open-endedness I know it can be hard on a writer. I'm happy reading whatever kinks you think works for the characters, but some of my personal hot buttons include hands, tears/crying, biting, rough body play/wrestling/punching/trampling (clothes-ripping, furniture-destroying . . .), mutable power dynamics (competing for dominance, topping from the bottom), lots of communication and enthusiastic consent, strap-ons (esp. strap-on blow-jobs), squirting, boots, and all sorts of auditory kinks like dirty talk or situations in which attention to sound is heightened (say, characters trying to be silent or unable to see due to darkness or blindfolds). The only things I'd ask you to stay away from are cultural or racial fetishes (I know it can be a tricky line between getting turned on by someone's voice or the words they're saying and obsessing in a creepy way on their "accent", or between loving some physical feature and treating the body it's a part of as an object without agency, and I'm grateful for your effort to respect this). On this note too, I'd be thrilled if you want to write any of the characters as trans or genderqueer (or older, or fatter, or disabled, or racebent, or otherwise less-represented-in-media than canon) as long as it's not objectifying-in-a-bad-way.
I'd be happy, too, if don't want to deal with all that stuff, with any kind of character study or backstory that makes you happy. Feel free to go very dark. I got into The Losers through the movie and I do kind of prefer it, but I have also read the comics so either or a hybrid is fine with me as far as canon is concerned (I prefer morally complex movie!Roque to stick figure villain comics!Roque). I'd especially like to read some political satire (of a left-leaning, socially-conscious, feminist, anti-ableist, anti-racist, decolonial, sex-, fat-, & trans-positive kind, please!). If you've got a fun idea for a mission fic, I'd be happy to read that too--really, whatever floats your boat. My only big "please DON'T" that I don't think is easily deduced from this list is, please DON'T write me anything glamorizing alcohol or drug ab/use (like, you can mention drugs or alcohol, but please don't valourize getting drunk or high or habitual use?) or rape (again, you can talk about or address it, but please respect that real-life "noncon" is NOT cool).
I didn't mention crossovers, fusions or AUs in my sign-up request, but I'm fine with them if you are, particularly Red, Machete, Inception, Flashpoint or other C6D fandoms, Castle, Doctor Who, or Women in Trouble/Elekra Luxx.
Once again, let me know if you have any questions. Have fun! I look forward to reading whatever you come up with!
Cheers!
